Celebration of 75th Years of India's Independence

RAMAKRISHNA MISSION ASHRAMA
The concluding program on AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV dedicated to SWAMI VIVEKANANDA was held on 24th July 2022 in the Vivekananda Hall of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda which was attended by 1000 people, mostly students. Winners of various competitions, organized on this occasion were awarded prizes and certificates. Swami Bodhamayanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, and Prof Dushmanta Kumar Mohanty, an eminent educationist attended the program as Chief Guest and Special Guest. The students presented various cultural programs.
The evening program on the freedom movement entitled “PARAMPARA: Passing through Tradition” - a dance and theatrical presentation with music enthralled the audience. The program was concluded with a Santoor recital and Celebrated the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of our country #azadikaamritmahotsav2022

Raga: Nat Bhairav - Indian Classical Composition in Dhrupad Style. Aalap (Slow abstract movements) Vilambit-laya Jor (Slow tempo in rhythmic abstract movements) Madhya-laya Jor (medium tempo in traditional & improvising method) & Jhala ( Fast tempo in rhythmic patterns)
Nat Bhairav is a morning raga. This raga is a combination of Raga Nat in Poorvang (The lower tetrachord has the notes of Nat) and Raga Bhairav in Uttarang (The upper tetrachord has the notes of Bhairav). Rasa / Mood: The raga reflects the mood of slight pathos with heroic exuberance.

Dishari is an Indian Classical Shata-tantri Veena (Santoor) Soloist of Maihar-Senia Veenkaar Gharana, Film Director, and Theatre Music Composer. He is a disciple of Ustad Dhyanesh Khan(disciple of Padma Bibhusan Annapurna Devi), Vedushi Ameena Perera( daughter of Swarasamrat Ali Akbar Khan) & Ustad Aashish Khan(grandson of Acharya Baba Alauddin Khan). Being a child prodigy he gave his first solo performance at the age of 8 and first broadcast on All India Radio Kolkata at the age of 12. Since then he has been performing at various national and international music festivals. With equal command over western classical music, he has collaborated with various artists across the world. An International Awardee from Norway (OSLO) & President Scholarship holder from Govt. of India, Dishari Chakraborty was led to the world of fine arts through his sensitive instinct and finally, to the World of MUSIC, THEATRES & FILM. He has composed music for Feature Films like Nainsukh (Silence Film), Bridge (Bengali Film), Chelokotha (Bengali Film) & Murder on the Road to Kathmandu (Hindi Film), Dhulo Bali Katha (Bengali Film), and several theatre productions with legendary Soumitra Chatterjee.

S/O Mardalaacharya Kaajee Singh belongs to the fourth generation Folk musicians family from Kalimpong, Darjeeling. Presently residing in Kolkata working as a Guest Professor at the Ramakrishna Mission, VidyaMandira, Belur Math. Nishaant belongs to the one and only prestigious Lala Keval Kishan Gharana of Bengal Parampara. Nishaant has been under the guidance of Pt. Chanchal Kumar Bhattacharya for the last 16 years and is the most promising performer of this style. Nishaant has been awarded by Gold Medal from the International Dhrupad Mela twice in the years 2009 & 2011. Nishaant was awarded by International Cervantino Festival, Mexico in the year 2015 and also by International Drums & Cultural Festival, Lamphun, Thailand in the year 2016. Awarded Bharatiya Nepali Sikhar Samman 2017 by the Govt. Of Sikkim. Nishaant has been performing Solo and Sangat with String Instruments, Kathak, Dhrupad Vocal & Taal Vaadya kucheri's all over the country and abroad with stalwart Maestro and also the upcoming young maestros of Indian Classical Music. Nishaant has also received an opportunity to accompany Pakhawaj with living Legends like Padmashree Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha (Gundecha Brothers), Dagar Brothers, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Ustad Aashish Khan, Pandit Swapan Chowdhury, Taal Vadya Kutcheri with Pandit Tanmoy bose, Vidwan VV Ramanamurthy, Vidwan Guru Prasanna. Nishaant is a Graded artiste of A.I.R. in Folk Song and Shree Maadal, as well as a “Top” graded Pakhawaj artiste of Cine Musicians Association, Mumbai. Nishaant has been frequently performing in DD Bharati and also playing Pakhawaj in background score music for Films and T.V. serials in different languages.

This Raag is rendered at the time when lights are put on. Its original name is Raag Kalyan and only during the Mughal's rule, the name Yaman was introduced and became current.

Raag Madhuvanti is a fairly recent melody. Earlier it was known as Raag Ambika. It is a sweet melodic combination with a fair degree of freedom for development into an impressive mellifluous mood with wide public appeal. This is a playful Raag full of romantic, loving sentiments.
